Talked into a weekly class by a friend of a friend, Amy's yoga adventure began while a junior at Penn State University. Forced to take a "seat" in the very front of the 75 member class, she struggled through just touching her toes in a forward fold. Week after week, over the thumping bass of the spin class next door, she fell in love with every part of yoga. Her 'ah ha' moment came in Half Lotus Tree Pose - after struggling week after week, she finally found that sweet spot and everything after that just seemed to click. She continued her studies in a private studio in State College, PA and then at a local gym by her apartment; it was there that she taught her first class as a substitute teacher. For as nervous as she was, it seemed natural and only added another dimension to her yoga. In 2006, Amy moved back to her hometown of Easton and adored all the charm of Downtown Easton. The icing on the cake was finding Easton Yoga.

Through yoga Amy has found a whole new awareness of her Self. Yoga breathe played a huge role while she trained for a marathon in 2006. Finding the extra 'push' and breathing into every additional mile made it easy to train for the 26.2, and with a smile in every step.  She took the technical anatomy of yoga and her new-found body awareness to the gym and with her in strength training routines. Always a student, Amy looks forward to absorbing as much as she can in every class and passing along those smiling moments to her own students.
