Chris Unger
When Christina began her journey into the world of yoga, she expected the practice to impact her body, but never imagined how it would change her life. Christina has been practicing yoga for 9 years now, and through the good times and the bad, she keeps showing up to her yoga mat to laugh, move, and breathe.
Yoga completes Chris. It provides a balance between her analytical and artistic selves. Christina’s background is in science. She work as a Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology, and holds two Bachelor’s Degrees and a Masters in Nursing. However, dance always inspires her, and throughout her high school years she studied ballet. Although her initial yoga experience was in Ashtanga, currently her practice is Vinyasa Flow centered. This form of yoga allows her to infuse the movement of dance with the breath of yoga. She embraces and has learned something from all the styles of yoga she has been exposed to. Christina hopes to use her life experience and background to help students achieve optimal wellness through gaining awareness of body and mind, and finding balance in their lives.
When not at yoga you might find her riding a bike or walking her dog, Oby, along the river. She tends to gravitate to the water, as that is where Christina is at home. She is married with three amazing sons. Although she lives in Bethlehem, she loves to travel and swim with the turtles in Kauai every chance she gets.
Over the years, the teachers at Easton Yoga and throughout the Lehigh Valley have been an inspiration to Chris. She is proud to be part of the first 200-hour teacher training at Easton with Alicia Rambo Wozniak, and is grateful to be a member of the Easton Yoga Community. Christina attended workshops with David and Doug Swenson, Natasha Rizopoulis, James Brown, Todd Norian, Sean Johnson, Elena Brower, Max Strom , and Jamie Elmer.
Christina continues to go with the flow… who knows where the current will carry her?
