Deborah Ketter BFA, EYRT 500, CYT 500, has been teaching yoga since 2005 and specializes in yoga nidra and bringing the disciplines of yoga and art together. She teaches to share, and studies to further her knowledge.
Her broad and differentiated training has included a 500-hour certification in Kripalu yoga, certification in restorative yoga under senior Kripalu teacher Carolyn Lundeen, Foundations of Svaroopa Yoga®, and certification in level one LifeForce Yoga® with Amy Weintraub. Most recently she completed her 200-hour Anusara training with Todd Norian and Ann Greene.
Deborah also completed a labyrinth facilitation certification program with Lauren Artress of Veriditas in San Francisco, is certified in Food Breath and Sound sadhana through Wise Earth Ayruveda®, and earned Kripalu Yoga Dance certification.
Deborah’s interest in yoga was sparked 30 years ago when she was earning her BFA at Massachusetts College of Art. This was before yoga studios were plentiful, and ashrams were the place to renounce the pleasures of the material world in order to achieve a state of enlightenment. Thank goodness things have changed and we can now enjoy the gift of embodiment with the pleasures life has to offer and study yoga too.
