Judy Minot began practicing yoga in 1992 and is currently working toward her teacher certification (CYT 200) at Easton Yoga in Easton, PA. In the course of her yoga training she has had some formative instructors, including Don Peccerill, Alicia Rambo Wozniak, Jamie Elmer and Max Strom.

Judy holds the rank of 3rd dan in Kokikai Aikido. She has trained in that art under aikido master Shuji Maruyama Sensei since 1994 and is currently dojo leader of Rutgers University Kokikai Aikido.

Judy finds continual inspiration in the concept of paradox, for example, the notion that being still can be very active, or that yoga and a martial art can have similar principles and the same goals. Judy blogs about this and other ideas at judyminot.blogspot.com.

Paradox: a statement that, despite sound premises, leads to a conclusion that seems logically unacceptable or counter-intuitive.
