Michele Vrentas discovered yoga at Larchmont studies in Los Angeles in 1981. She met Ganga White and other Iyengar teachers and was turned upside down.

During these past 30 years she has gone on to explore other modalities of movement, meditation, and breath work. During her exploration of mindfulness movement her passion grew and she started to develop a natural instinct for touch and solving problems with physical pain and structural restrictions as well as emotional imbalances. In 1992 she went back to school to become a massage therapist. She has a successful massage and bodywork practice since for 20 years.

Today she is committed to Yoga as a form of teaching movement, promoting the benefits of flexibility and the necessity of building strength.

Her 200-hour teacher training was completed at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara California and is a member of Yoga Alliance. Other trainings further her education in yoga from studying with Alicia Rambo Wozniak, Max Strom, Cindy Lee, Angela Farmer, Dharma Yoga, Peggy Lee, and many others.

Currently she is in the process of a 500 hr. teacher training with Om Yoga NYC. Her background is Iyengar, Hatha, Viniyoga, Ashtanga and Kundalini yoga, Trans Dance, Transformational Breath Work, Focusing and brain gym, emotion somatic release, Ancient Thai Massage, and more.

She uses yoga as a tool for staying in alignment with daily life.

Through teaching she gets to witness the opening to new possibilities from her students. Broadening to increased positive physical feelings and playful views of themselves this is truly a privilege she feels grateful for.  This is what makes coaching worthwhile and fulfilling.
