Samira Nour
Yvette McDonnell
Samira Nour dances as an Egyptian Goddess would. She dances with passion, and spiritual grace. You simply cannot take your eyes from her intoxicating, hypnotic moves! With her incredible grace and bright smile, Samira builds a special connection with everyone in her audience. She has a unique style, combining classic Egyptian and cabaret style with a just hint of Brazilian samba that Samira picked up while living in Brazil for a couple of years. Samira's veil dance leaves her audience intoxicated, ready to follow her on a magic carpet ride.

Samira Nour has performed for comedian and sister belly dancer Margaret Cho, and has graced stages and restaurants throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Massachusetts.  Samira Nour has been studying the art of belly dance for seven years, most recently, with Tasha of Phillipsburg, NJ. Samira teaches belly dance at Lafayette College in addition to public classes in Easton, PA. and other areas in the Lehigh Valley.

Samira holds her MA in education and is an advocate of multiculturalism and diversity. Through teaching belly dance, Samira is able to enhance women's self-esteem, motivation and body image. "Belly dance is an ultimate expression of one's self," Samira says. "It allows for all women to participate freely."  To hire Samira to dance at your next event, or to find out more about  her, please email her at samirabellydancer@yahoo.com.
