Sue Pappas, RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher), started her yoga experience in 2001 at Easton Yoga. From the first class, it was apparent the benefits of yoga would be far greater than she ever imagined.
In 2010, Sue completed Max Strom’s Way of Life Training Program (200RYT), and has been teaching since January, 2011. As a Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in Public Health, Sue has spent many years teaching health education in hospital and public school settings. She incorporates her medical knowledge and experiences into her yoga teaching, and is prepared to bring the benefits of yoga to everyone, with a special focus on the senior population.
In November, 2011, she completed the 8-day Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors Professional Training at Duke Integrative Medicine in North Carolina, which focused on helping yoga instructors work safely and effectively with the increasing number of older adults interested in practicing yoga.
Sue has experienced many positive changes through practicing yoga. These changes include increased strength, flexibility, and balance; as well as a sense of self awareness and peace. She enjoys helping others on their yoga journey, as she continues to learn and grow along with her students. When not practicing yoga, she enjoys spending time with her 7 grandchildren and playing the upright bass with her guitar playing husband, John.
