  • Early Registration $1950 per couple , $500 deposit to reserve your treehouse, balance due by September 30, 2018. Limited to 9 Couples.

Relationships are forged and deepened through the cultivation of open communication and conscious connection. Our modern lives reward us in many ways but introduce challenges to maintaining intimacy in our communication with our partners. This retreat will offer a sanctuary from the responsibilities and distractions of our daily lives and provide a physical and emotional platform for the reinvigoration of our most cherished bonds.

This luxurious yoga infused getaway will take place at Acre, a lush sanctuary set on 25 acres of abundant greenery tucked in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains in San Jose del Cabo. Featuring elegant treehouses, organic farms, beautiful open spaces, pool, mango groves and more, this setting is sure to be the perfect place to get away with your partner and enjoy twice daily classes, farm-to-table dining, swimming, sitting fireside and more!

*Cancellations prior to Feb 1, 2019 are subject to a $300 administration and cancellation fee.
*Cancellation after Feb 1, 2019 are subject to a 50% refund.

ITINERARY

Day 1 (27 Feb)
Arrive into Cabo San Lucas airport (SJD) and transfer to Acre.  Taxis are readily available at the airport, expect a 30 minute ride.  Plan your travel to arrive at Acre by 5pm.
5:30pm – Welcome gathering in the courtyard.  After settling into your treehouse and getting a tour of the grounds we’ll gather together at Acre’s exquisite bar to share a cocktail and unwind from travel.
6:30pm  – Group dinner at Acre restaurant

Day 2 (28 Feb)
6:00am – Coffee available in the kitchen
7-9:00am – Morning yoga session – RECONNECT – Reconnection begins by tuning in to what we bring individually to the retreat.  We’ll begin by harmonizing with our environment and listening to our bodies and then shift our focus to touch and communication with our partners.
9:30-10:30am – Breakfast in the garden
10:30am-3:00pm – Free time
    - Suggested – Enjoy the pool and wander the gardens
                  - Acre spa service (by appointment, advance coordination required)
3:00-5:00pm – Afternoon yoga session – RECONNECT – Building on the reconstitution and grounding of the morning session we’ll explore supporting one another through a practice of therapeutic yoga and thai massage to stoke our reconnection.
6:00pm - Recommended, transportation included – Depart Acre for the San Jose del Cabo art walk and dinner in the gallery district of the old village. The center of San Jose del Cabo is an authentic and endearing colonial village, enjoy exploring the back streets and many small galleries.
7:30pm - We’ll hold a reservation at La Osteria for the group but feel free to explore and dine on your own if you’d prefer.
9:30pm – Return transportation to Acre

Day 3 (1 Mar)
6:00am – Coffee available in the kitchen
7-9:00am – Morning yoga session – INVIGORATE – Moving into our second day we’ll set out to ignite our practice and further stimulate our shared connections through breath work, applied sacral and partner vinyasa.
9:30-10:30am – Breakfast in the garden
10:30-3:00pm – Free time
- Suggested – Beach day! We’ll shuttle to El Ganzo Hotel’s private beach club, just 5 minutes away, to enjoy Baja’s sun and sand and maybe even spot gray whales breaching off the coast!
3:00-5:00pm – Afternoon yoga session – INVIGORATE – The afternoon session will be both mindful and playful as we deepen trust through a practice of cooperative variations.  
6:30pm - Recommended, transportation included – We’ll shuttle over to Flora Farms, just 5 minutes away, and enjoy their lush gardens and magnificent table-on-the-farm cocktails and dinner experience.  
8:30pm – Return transportation to Acre

Day 4 (2 Mar)
6:00am – Coffee available in the kitchen
7-9:00am – Morning yoga session – NOURISH – Balancing a dynamic practice with a transition to reflection and energetic bonding, we’ll focus on feeding the pillars of our relationships.
9:30-10:30am – Breakfast in the garden
10:30-3:30pm – Free time
    - Suggested - Return to Flora Farms to take a tour of their farm and gardens, enjoy their spa services, take a cooking class (10:30-1:30) or just wander their shops.  Advance coordination is required if you’d like to visit their spa or take a cooking class.
    -  Alternative suggestion - Enjoy your last afternoon lounging by the pool at Acre
3:30-5:30pm – Afternoon yoga session – NOURISH –Through partner yin yoga we’ll embrace our heightened receptiveness and delve deeper into connection to set intentions for lasting openness to rekindled vitality and connectedness.
6:00pm - Recommended – Mezcal tasting! Join us at Acre’s mezcal tasting bar to experience this largely under-appreciated yet utterly enjoyable spirit.  Although not native to Baja, the agave from which mezcal is distilled is authentically Mexican and sure to delight your palate. Our host will walk us through a variety of examples and provide insight on production techniques and regional distinctions.
6:30pm (recommended) – We’ll adjourn to Acre’s bar for a cocktail before dinner, then assemble at our group table for a shared meal on our final night

Day 5 (3 Mar)
6:00am – Coffee available in the kitchen
7-8:30am – Morning yoga session – For the culmination of our shared practice we’ll rejoice in the nourishing baja morning light and celebrate our rejuvenation. Our flow will offer a last bit of heat and balance before we transition back to our normal pace of life.
9:00-10:30am – Breakfast in the garden & farewell gathering
11:00am – Own transportation to airport

FAQ
  • Price - $1950 per couple with $500 deposit due upon reservation, balance due by Sept 30th. $2150 per couple after Oct 1st, balance due upon booking. Space limited to nine couples.
  • Trip cancellations & delays – Cancellations prior to February 1st, 2019 subject to $300 administrative fee. Cancellations after February 1st are 50% refundable. Regretfully late arrivals or early departures are not eligible for partial refunds.
  • What’s Included – Four nights of lodging, group dinner on night 1 (alcohol not included), all breakfasts, all yoga and transportation to optional group endeavors.
  • Do I have to be a yoga master? – Of course not!  Alicia’s extensive yoga teaching experience will gently guide even yoga novices through all stages of our practice, allowing you to remain fully focused on your partner – the reason you’re here!
  • Trip insurance – We highly encourage trip insurance! Various plans are available to protect against a variety of cancellation and delay scenarios. AIG Travelguard is one highly regarded provider, for more information visit: mvp.travelguard.com
  • What if I want to extend my Baja vacation? – Baja is an enchanted land where the desert meets the sea with something to offer every travel appetite. If you’d like to pair this retreat with other travel let us know and we can provide tailored suggestions.
  • What do I need to travel to Mexico? – Just a current passport, no visa is required.
  • Will my phone work in Mexico? – Most cellular services either include Mexico talk/text/data in their packages or offer short-term supplemental service, contact your provider to verify coverage. For ease of travel we do recommend ensuring you’ll have service. WiFi is provided at Acre.
  • What should I bring? – An open heart and an appetite for something new! Beyond that a casual yoga wardrobe and some relaxed evening wear will make you comfortable in Baja’s famously serendipitous culture (think southern California without the pretense).  If you have a preferred yoga mat bring that too!

She has 18 years of experience as a Certified Yoga Teacher, Trainer & Mentor and as a Holistic Nutrition & Wellness Coach.  Alicia’s practice embraces intention, strength, flexibility and balance and her peaceful and kinetic teaching style will expand your embodiment and nourish your soul.
